Collaborative governance and innovation in public services settings

Collaborative governance is believed to lead more innovative solutions complex problems in public services. This article analyses whether this hypothesis applies the case of decentralisation labour market policy regional networks various actors Netherlands. We first develop a theoretical argument that integrates theories collaborative with innovation, distinguishing between wide and small option for innovation relation structure, process output/outcome governance. Our findings show that, despite variety partnerships ambitions across regions, new bold are scarce. In particular, which creates value beyond existing frameworks services, limited practice.
